First-Year Orientation

Fachschaft Elektrotechnik und Informatiostechnik

The first-semester orientation in the winter semester 2021/2022 will take place from October 4 to 8 - although somewhat differently than usual - and will be organized by our student council so that the first semester students can also start well prepared for the first lectures this year.

During the introductory week for first-year students, students will not only get to know their new fellow students, but also the university and the city of Aachen. First-year students will be accompanied by tutors from higher semesters who will be happy to answer any questions they may have about student life.

This year, the first-semester introduction will be carried out in a hybrid way. The welcoming of first-year students by the Rector and faculty, as well as a question and answer session with the faculty advisors, will be conducted online. As of now, many activities are also planned to take place in person.

*** Coronarichtlinien für die Erstsemestereinführungswoche ***

During all events that take place in attendance, as a minimum, the 3G rules will apply. Compliance with these will be monitored by the tutors and the student council.

The 3G rules can be proven as follows:

  • Complete vaccination, which must have taken place at least 14 days ago.
  • A quick test which is not older than 48 hours.
A certification certificate must be provided, a self-test is not sufficient.
  • A proof of recovery, which is not older than 6 months.

The student council recommends the Corona Warn app of the RKI to ensure a quick check. Proof of vaccination and testing can be placed in this app.

If the regulations and recommendations of the federal government change in the meantime due to a change in the incidence of infection, the rules will be adjusted. In case of changes to the regulations, first semester students will be informed in time by the student council and the faculty.
