How does a mentoring talk look like?
Mentoring talks are individual, you are in the focus, your individual situation, your questions, your potentials and strengths, your study challenges. In one-to-one talks we take our time to listen. Together we reflect the situation, reorganize thoughts, think about possible solutions, invite you to a different way of thinking and approaches. We develop possible solution strategies. We can also give advices, which supportive offers and arrangements you can use to extend your expertise and potentials and to organize your further studies successfully.
How often do I come to mentoring talks?
It's up to you. It is possible that one mentoring talk is satisfactory. It may be you want further talks - then we will have them. The timing of the next talk is as well a matter of agreement.
How much does it cost?
Mentoring talks are free of charge. You should simply be willing to deal with your study situation and your self management.
How long does a mentoring talk last?
We reserve one hour for a mentoring talk.
Where do the mentoring talks take place?
Mentoring talks can take place personal or online.
Confidential and secure conditions are very important for us: we have an own room for the mentoring talks.
Who are the mentoring talks for?
We adress to all students of the faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University.

How fast can I get an appointment?
Currently it is possible to get an appontment within 1-2 weeks.
What are the requirements for a mentoring talk?
Requirement for a mentoring talk is that you want to take part. And that you belong to the above-named student groups (see "Who are the mentoring talks for?").
Do I have to prepare for a mentoring talk?
Yes, you should. Please prepare some questions in advance, Based on them we will have a better talk.
We will provide you with some central questions.
Who are the mentors?
The mentoring talks are conducted by different persons. The names and contact details of the mentors can be found on the contact page.
What happens with the topics of the mentoring talks?
Our mentoring talks are strictly confidential.
