NRC-MITACS-RWTH Globalink Research Award Program
Research stay in Canada for RWTH students
Starting in 2021, up to 25 RWTH students per year will have the opportunity to complete research stays at participating Canadian partner universities. To realize the six- to twelve-month stay with funding of up to 18,000 Canadian dollars, a new cooperation program has been concluded with Mitacs. Since Mitacs was established in 2001, it has worked with universities, companies, the federal and provincial governments, and the Canadian National Research Council (NRC), a key partner of RWTH in North America, to support innovation in industry and society.
The program aims to deepen the relationship between RWTH, NRC and participating Canadian universities, initiate joint research and industry projects, produce joint publications, improve the training of researchers and develop other forms of cooperation. Applications are invited from master's students and doctoral candidates who wish to undertake a combined research stay at one of the participating Canadian universities in collaboration with the NRC. They will be supervised by a professor from RWTH Aachen University, a professor from the Canadian host university, and a researcher from the NRC.
