External and Interdisciplinary Research Organizations

There is a close cooperation with the E.ON Energy Research Center and the Forschungsgemeinschaft für Elektrische Anlagen und Stromwirtschaft e.V.  (research group for power plants and energy industry). Another important connection is the partnership with the Forschungszentrum Jülich (Jülich Research Center) in the framework of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA): Faculty members are part of the JARA-FIT group (= Fundamentals of Future Information Technology) . We also participate in the "Helmholtz-Institute for Ionics in Energy Storage", founded in 2014. Additionally, several of the above listed scientists are involved in the eLab (Electronic Mobility Lab) which offers an open infrastructure for research.
