|Institution||Joint workshop Walter-Schottky-Haus|
The GWSH is a collectively used facility of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University. The workshop enables both research and teaching to consult, design, and implement experimental parts and setups on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. The wide range of applications for this equipment allows a high degree of flexibility and individuality in the scientific projects of the total of 12 institutes that use the workshop jointly. The general goal here is to find context-specific solutions to challenges in research and teaching.
The following machining processes are available in the workshop:
- turning (4x conventional turning machine, 1x CNC turning machine)
- milling (2x conventional milling machine, 3x CNC milling machine)
- sheet metal working
- wood processing
- 3D printing (filament)
In the brochure available for download below, you will find detailed information on order acceptance, advice, order processing, technical example drawings, equipment of the GWSH as well as practical examples of order drawings.
