New Chair for "Ageing Processes and Lifetime Prediction of Batteries"

In May 2016, Prof. Dr. Egbert Figgemeier accepted the professorship for ageing processes and lifetime prognosis of batteries.
The professorship belongs to the Helmholtz Institute "Ionics in Energy Storage", founded in 2015, in which RWTH cooperates with WWU Münster and Forschungszentrum Jülich.
Egbert Figgemeier resides at the Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives, which also holds a stake in Helmholtz Institute.
