Scientifc Awards 2016

 
  • Prof. De Doncker, Prof. Waser and Prof. Rossmann were included in the German Academy of Science and Engineering (Acatech). Additional to Prof. Sauer, there are four professors from the Faculty of Electrical Engneering and Information Technology in Acatech.
  • Stefan Lankes received the ,,Fellowship für Innovationen in der Hochschullehre 2016'' from the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research. The fellowship is endowed Ein Fellowship with 50.000 €.
  • Prof. Monti received the "2017 IEEE Innovation in Societal Infrastructure Award, for accelerating innovation of energy, information, and communication technologies for the urban environment”
  • Prof. Ascheid was appointed Honorary Chair Professor of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taipeh, Taiwan)
  • Prof. Mähönen was appointed representative of the society IEEE ComSoc on the steering board of the IEEE Trans. of Cognitive Networks and Communications
  • Prof. Petrova was appointed Associate Editor of Wireless Communication Letters
  • Prof. Roßmann is now a member German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech)
  • Dr. Holger Kalisch was appointed RWTH-Lecturer
  • Daniel Szepanski und Charlie Paul Susai Sakkana Reddy received the Otto-Junker-Award
  • Christoph Müller was awarded with the Young-Author-Award in the context of the „14. Symposium Energieinnovation 2016“ (EnInnov2016) in Graz.
  • Carl Henning Lubba was awarded with the Study Award 2015 by the SEW-EURODRIVE-Foundation for his Mastser Thesis "Emotion recognition via Thermography"
  • Martijn Arts and Prof. Mathar receive the best paper award of the Eighth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN 2016) for their contribution
  • Hady Yacoub received the Student Award for the presentation "The Effect of Different Carbon Doping Techniques on the Dynamic Buffer Characteristics of GaN-on-Si Devices" in the context of the conference WOCSDICE-EXMATEC 2016
  • Alexander Nährig receives the Leo Brandt‐Award 2016 for his Master Thesis about Satellite-Communication
  • Miguel Aguilar was awarded the gold medal at the ACM Student Research Competition (San Francisco, CA)
  • "Student Design Competition Award" and "Student Challenge Award" , 16th EuMWeek 2016, M. Abdullah Khan, 1. Place and PRIME "Silver Leave Award"
  • Springorum-Denkmünzen: 38 of all Denkmünzen were given to graduates of our faculty, e.g. Sebastian Nagel and Stefan Kühl
  • Borchers-Plaques: 15 Plaques were given to graduates of our faculty, e.g. an Boudewijn Venema and Daniel Teichmann
  • Morith Beermann receives the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Award for the best Disseratation
  • Jan Karthaus received the "Best Paper Award for a Young Researcher" in the context of the event "Electromagnetic Phenomena in Nonlinear Circuits 2016" for his thesis "Mechanical Stress-Dependency of Iron Losses in Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Sheets"
  • Martijn Arts and Rudolf Mathar: Best Paper Award of The Eighth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN 2016) for their contribution "Performance Limits of Cooperative Eigenvalue-Based Spectrum Sensing Under Noise Calibration Uncertainty"
  • Christoph Hoog Antink was awarded by the German Society for Biomedical Engineering(DGBMT) and the Aktionsbündnis für Patientensicherheit
  • Dr. Inga Elixmann receives the Aschoff-Award
